Running Benchmarks
Learn about running benchmarks so that you can continuously measure your user experience.
The term "benchmark" originally came from surveyors, who would cut a mark into a stone to secure a bracket called a "bench." This would be used as a point of reference for builders. As it relates to user experience, a benchmark provides a point of reference to compare a design's progress over time, or to compare a design against other designs.
In this course, we walk through...
- What a benchmark is and how to think about benchmarking the user experience.
- Continuous testing with the goal of measuring your designs over time.
- Using benchmarks to assess whether a design should be released, and to measure the experience once it has been released.
