Learn about running benchmarks to continuously measure your user experience.
The term "benchmark" originally came from surveyors, who would cut a mark into a stone to secure a bracket called a "bench." This would be used as a point of reference for builders. As it relates to user experience, a benchmark provides a point of reference to compare a design's progress over time or to compare a design against other designs.
In this course, we walk through:
- What a benchmark is and how to think about benchmarking the user experience
- Continuous testing to measure your designs over time
- Using benchmarks to assess whether a design should be released and to measure the experience once it is released
